As I was working the census, my delightful GPS sent me down a dirt road, as it was raining, I did not see the sign stating no maintenance road. By the time I realized, it was to late, I managed to back up about half way, but then it happened. I was stuck an sliding to the ditch. SO I called the first tow company listed by Google, they laughed and told me to walk and find a farmer, then hung up!! So I called the sheriff's office, and they recommended RPM, I called they had to figure out which part of quince road I was on, I sent them pictures of my GPS and he was able to figure it out, he swung by and walked down to where I was, said he didn't have enough cable to do it, but, he then started making phone calls!!! he found a farmer buddy that could come help. His buddy then came and hauled my sorry self out of the mud. They worked out a deal, charged me a very reasonable rate. I paid and was on my way. Just saying, everyday hero's still exist. These two are hero's in my mind. I would give them 10 stars if I could, they were kind and generous with their time. I am so happy with their service.
I was following the GPS while doing the census, It sent me down Quince road, it was raining, and I didn't see the "Unmaintained road" sign. Yep, I got stuck on the clay/mud mix. I called the first tow company google listed and well, his response was HA, ha, ha start walking girl, find a farmer that can pull you our. then he hung up!! I called back and explained that I was from out of town and had no clue even which way to start walking, he was no help. I found the Sheriff's number and they recommended RPM, I called still seething with anger. The fellow who answered asked questions, and I gave him as much info as I could, he finally go my text and was able to figure out what part of the county I was on. He showed up in a reasonable amount of time, took a look, came and talked to me, then started making phone calls looking for one of this buddies to bring a tractor. He found a fellow, who was able to come drag my sorry self out of the mud. These guys could have been jerks but they were so great!! Everyday hero's still exist,, some drive tow trucks, some drive big green tractors. They helped a old gal from out of state out of a sticky mess, were kind and so helpful. I can not recommend them more than 5 stars or I would.
